I cut a piece of patterned paper and inked the edges with chalk ink. The calendar grid is from 7 Gypsies, stamped with Dark Brown Chalk Ink on natural cardstock. I used the distress tool to rough up my edges and then used distress ink and my blender tool to age the calendar. I mounted the calendar grid onto red cardstock and then attached this to the base of my tag. "25" is American Crafts Thickers and the {super cute} reindeers is a ribbon from May Arts. I added a red blingy nose to the leading reindeer. I used the same cardstocks to create a title for my tag, which is stamped using Turtle Press alphabet stamps. I outlined the the title block with Distress Stickles, which are AWESOME for a nice vintage-y feel.

 i have a sad post to share today :( Noreen Barry passed away on December 16. She was a very active member of the colorful creations community. She started in the ORIGINAL stamp club 6 years ago and continued attending classes, events and fun times at Colorful Creations... you could say this was her home away from home.

We will miss her very much.

I used the light green Creative Café tag as the base to this tag and simply cut coordinated pieces of patterned paper into strips. I tore the edges off the top of each strip and inked the edges and then layered them onto the tag. I then used rubons to create the words on strips of white paper that I inked the edges of and then adhered to the tag with foam tape. I punched out a small circle and adhered that to my tag and used rubons for the 24. I embellished the circle with the new A Muse pearls.

The final countdown is upon us!! The little ones have been waiting ever so patiently for their gifts, and this little girl is no exception! Punch and layer some circles together then stamp with A Muse stamps and color with markers. Hilight several gifts by applying a layer of Glossy Accents and allowing it to dry, creating a raised, glossy effect. Add Cotton Candy Stickles along the outside edge of the circle for added sparkle.

for this tag i only used ONE stamp set! One of Tim Holtz's red-rubber cling sets i had won in one of his classes. I stamped the santa, merry christmas and repetitive pine bough stamps on manilla oak tag card stock (using vintage photo, fired brick, and peeled paint distress inks) 

For the santa image: i added some red coloring with watercolor paints, and i glitzed up his hat with distress stickles. (peeled paint, fired brick) I also inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink and the blending tool. 

For the merry christmas: I cut out the image and inked the edges with vintage photo distress ink and my blending tool. I put some glossy accents on the edges and sprinkled on some gold glass shards. 

For the pine bough, i cut it out with my paper trimmer and distressed the edges with the tonic distress tool, then inked the edges with vintage photo distress and blending tool.

The background of the tag is stamped snowflakes in white pigment ink, i then heat set it so it wouldn't smear

The numbers were Quickutz that i cut with my big shot on green cardstock, i used my quickie glue pen and ultrafine glitter to "hooch it up"

Everything was adhered to the tag, the santa and the merry christmas are foam taped to add dimension

considering we can't get in or out our front door.... and that they are still cleaning up the MAIN roads around us, we have decided to stay closed for 2day

this tag was created on a white manilla tag. using the  tim holtz mask sheets i made snowflake masks and created a beautiful background with broken china distress ink and a blending tool.  next i used that beautiful bo bunny snowflake paper (again), ideology filmstrip and word charm, snowflake brads and a memory box clear stamp to complete this layered look.
