One more sleep ‘till Santa arrives!! Today’s tag is FULL of layers and detail, and is a great example of using your scraps to create something pretty fancy. The base of the tag was created by scoring the BACK side of Core’dinations cardstock then sanding the embossed line to reveal the color core. A smaller piece of A Muse wood grain patterned paper was layered on top of the tag base. To create the tree element, I trimmed several ½” strips of double sided patterned paper, inked and layered them on top of layered triangle pieces of cardstock. I machine stitched around the edges of the triangle and added adhesive rhinestones before attaching the tree to the tag. I die cut a small label tag using my Spellbinders dies and stamped the cream paper with green gifts, then layered the stamped piece on a larger die cut before mounting to the tag. I hand stamped the sentiment using Charcoal Colorbox Chalk Ink on sanded Core’dinations cardstock strips and trimmed the end of each sentiment strip in a “v” shape. I added a stocking embellishment and star embellishment to the tag to finish off the tag.
Super great crafty tag! I love the layers, the stitching and putting the little hanger on at the top. The layers to make the tree are truly an inspired use of your stash!
Peace,
Holly
