This cute tag doubles as a treat holder… what could be sweeter? I used fun papers in non-traditional Christmas colors from American Crafts to create this cute stitched stocking. To make the base of the stocking, I simply folded a 4 x 12” piece of patterned paper in half and free-hand cut the stocking shape so both the front and back pieces would match. I used my sewing machine to stitch around the sided of the stocking, making sure to leave the top open so I could add tasty treats later. For the cuff of the stocking, I cut a coordinating piece of patterned paper from the same product line, as well as adding a punched border strip for added detail. These were adhered to the stitched stocking with foam tape. The tag element was created by layering several punched pieces of paper and adding a ribbon bow. Tuck a few candy canes inside, and you’re all set!
